Who besides me and Sandra's husband, Jesse James, are far from being in shock that she won the Oscar?
To be fair - I didn't see her performance, I didn't read about her performance, I didn't talk about her performance, but I'm sure it was really really really Oscar-worthy. And when I say Oscar-worthy, I mean, "let's give this chick the statue so we don't have to deal with her any longer."
But then when one thinks about her award-winning role as a southern women with guts - so not Hollywood, so very unique, and when I say unique, I mean, not even close to unique - it's a wonder they even had to open the envelope.
But then again, again, I can't believe she hasn't won before this!
Her scene-stealing role in 'Demolition Man' completely overshadowed her co-star Sly Stallone:

Even the movie poster oozed Oscar |

The poster should have read: Escape is impossible when you're trapped in this movie because there are large people at the end of your aisle and you're in the middle |

Look, she's even getting ready for the Oscars! |

Even she's surprised she won |
Dear Blind Man's Zoo,
ReplyDeleteThank you for this post. Sandra needs to just stop it. Really. Just quit it Sandra. At this point she is just starting to make me angry rather than annoyed.
I did not see the movie either, so I would rather not comment on her performance and if it was or not worth of a little statue. She has stared in a bunch of not-so-artsy movies, but she was also on decent ones, like Crash, and actually did a good job.
ReplyDeletePlease note, I am so not a big fan of hers. I just feel weird telling someone they don't deserve something based on "cuz-I-say-so"
